Not for Paul Pashley was the usual path to a career in music. “Honestly, my background’s crazy,” he tells The Yorkshire Post with no understatement. The son of an Italian father who left home before he was born, he was raised by his mother and stepfather in Sheffield. At 15 he was doing work experience at Meadowhall shopping centre when an entertainment company hired him as a clown.
